STARRING CYNTHIA DALLAS

Cynthia Dallas was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Although she did not study acting formally prior to pursuing a professional career, she has been a working actor since 2007. Cynthia earned a full athletic scholarship for basketball to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where she was a four-year starter and held several school and conference records. However, after a series of knee injuries ended a budding career in the WNBA, she made the move to Los Angeles.Cynthia has worked in commercials, theater, television, and film, and has gone on to write, direct, and produce her own short films.Cynthia has done her own stunts on several TV and film projects.She is of African-American, Irish, German, and Native-American descent.Worked as the assistant girls' basketball varsity coach at Burbank High School for five seasons and at Campbell Hall for one season.Member of the 2-Year Full Time Actor Programme's graduating Class of 2019 at the prestigious Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland.

Step onto the 50-yard line for a monumental moment in New Hazlett history. Marking the theater's first-ever co-production, the New Hazlett has partnered with DEMASKUS Theater Collective to bring a powerhouse modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic to the Northside.

The language is updated, the setting transformed, but the emotional truth is intact: a Black woman at the height of her power, navigating a world designed to doubt her — not as a tragic pawn, but as a fully realized human being. The adaptation explores the price of ambition and asks: "When a woman shatters a glass ceiling, what waits for her when she lands?"
