SUPPORT MRS. LAWTON

Mrs. Lawton is turning herself in TONIGHT AT 7:50PM at the Municipal Building which is located at 1st Ave connected to the County Jail.

Instead of marching from Freedom Corner to the Municipal Building, it is suggested that all media, politicians and the general public show up at the Municipal Building at 6:45pm to show Mrs. Lawton that she is not alone.

Here are the list of demands that the "ONE HOOD COALITION" express:

1. Drop all charges against Pamela Lawton immediately.
2. Suspend Officer Tatusko without pay until further investigation. (It is crazy to arrest Mrs. Lawton, who has committed no crime, and allow Officer Eric Tatusko to remain at work carrying a gun in the community).
3. Give cultural sensitivity training to all officers who serve the public in our communities.
4. Better train all officers on de-escalating problems.
5. Give the Civilian police review board more power.
6. Place Video cameras in all police cars.
7. Work with community based organizations to deal with crime.
8. Re-establish Community orientated police.
9. Give a formal public and written apology to the Lawton family from the City and Police Dept. top brass.
10. Pay for therapy sessions for Mrs. Lawton and her children.

Calling all Concerned Citizens come and Stand Up for Justice for Pamela Lawton and family Friday October 13th at 7:00pm in front of the Pittsburgh Municipal Court Building Downtown on First Ave.

On Friday October 13th at 7:50pm Ms. Pamela Lawton is scheduled to be finger printed and charged with disorderly conduct for screaming for help as she and a van full of children were detained and held at gunpoint by Officer Eric Tatusco on August 26, 2006 in the Shadyside community of Pittsburgh. At one point during the traffic stop Officer Tatusco turned off his radio, cocked back the slide on his weapon and threatened to blow Mrs. Lawton's 7 year old daughter Joshalyn's brains out.

Minister Jasiri X - I wanted to personally thank every individual that sacrificed their time and energy to stand in support of or sister Pamela Lawton and her daughters who suffered such inhumane treatment at the hands of the Pittsburgh Police. Contrary to the article linked below Ms. Lawton was not only surrounded by members of the Nation of Islam. She was surrounded and supported by a diverse group which included members of One Hood, The Disciples of the Village, The Black Watch Movement, The League of Young Voters, Millions More Movement, Black Political Empowerment Project, The Nation of Gods and Earths, JPB Inc, IDI Productions, Brotha Ash Productions, Soul Pitt, Al Nur, Royal Tribe Music, Community Empowerment Association, Urban Youth Action, Mental Health Association of Allegheny County and other concerned community members that numbered far more than 15. Let us not allow our enemies to divide us. Let us not allow time to extinguish our passion. Let us mobilize and organize to support and defend our communities. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said OUR UNITY is more powerful than an atomic bomb. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said,"All we need is the will and the unity and we can repair what has been broken." May God bless us all to stay on our post till the job is done.
