Washington D.C. area has a fashion designer who has fulfilled
the wedding dreams of thousands of brides, both in her native
Thailand and in D.C. Her name is Joy Houston. In 2007, Joy launched
a line of gowns for the U.S. wholesale market and has fulfilled
the dreams of brides nationally and internationally with her custom
designed gowns. With a new salon in Old Town, Alexandria , Virginia
Joy offers brides a wide selection of gowns with an emphasis on
quality fabrics, intriguing silhouettes and intricate details.

Joy believes every woman has her own unique, natural beauty and
it's her job to bring out that beauty by designing a gown that
complements feminine features. She adds life to her gowns by using
hand-embroidered embellishments from nature such as flowers. Her
goal in each design is to accentuate all the natural and wonderful
things it means to be called "a woman".
At Joy Houston Bridal, a bride can choose from Joy's designs or have a custom gown created. "The wedding gown should never overshadow the bride," says Joy. "Instead, it should accentuate the unique beauty that is found in every bride, and she will be remembered on the wedding day as being a beautiful bride, instead of a bride wearing a beautiful dress." All gowns are made-to-measure so they are constructed with a bride's exact measurements. Brides receive personalized, one-on-one attention, with Joy and her staff leading each customer through the process of making her gown decision.
