SYNOPSIS:
A big-screen adaptation of Tyler Perry's hit stage play of the
same title, Why Did I Get Married? is an intimate story about
the difficulty of maintaining a solid love relationship in modern
times. During a trip to the picturesque snowcapped mountains of
Colorado, eight married college friends have gathered for their
annual seven-day reunion. But the cozy mood is shattered when the
group comes face-to-face with one pairs infidelity. As secrets
are revealed, each couple begins questioning the validity of their
own marriage. Over the course of the weekend, husbands and
wives take a hard look at their lives, wrestling with issues of
commitment, betrayal and forgiveness as they seek a way forward.
Stepping in front of the camera for the first time since Madea's
Family Reunion, Perry stars alongside a talented ensemble cast that
includes Janet Jackson, Malik Yoba, Jill Scott, Sharon Leal,
Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Denise Boutté, Richard T.
Jones, and Pittsburgh's Own Lamman Rucker.

Pittsburgh's Own Lamman Rucker
Lamman
Rucker's was born on 6 October in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His
mother had a dance company (the Pittsburgh Black Theater Dance
Ensemble) and his father was a drummer, so entertaining is in
his blood. His first acting role was as Martin Luther King in the
4th grade. He was in the drama club in 7th grade and then attended
high school at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington,
D.C. He has an undergraduate degree in Information Technology and
Business and his graduate degree in Education and Curriculum Development.
He played basketball in college and semi-pro ball for a short time
after that. Lamman is the oldest of 3 children, having a younger
sister and brother. He is currently single, but involved with someone
special. When he's not working, he enjoys working out, playing ball,
going to the theater and traveling.
Lamman Rucker, a former
semi-pro athelete, joined As the World Turns in May 2002 in what
was to have been a short-term, recurring role. Rucker's performance
earned praise from fans and show execs alike and several months
later he was given a contract with the show. However, by mid-October
of 2003, storyline dictated the actor's exit from the show.
