Beginning this Fall, Macedonia Church Bible Institute will be starting classes for all those who are interested in preaching, teaching, or desire a better understanding of the Bible's fundamentals. All communities, members, and non-members are welcome.

The Macedonia Church Bible Institute

Are you interested in developing your knowledge of the Bible? Do you have the answers when your faith is questioned? Have you been struggling with a call to ministry? Do you have the gift and passion for teaching, but need to develop sound teaching skills. The curriculum of the Macedonia Church Bible Institute can help you answer these questions. Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh is introducing a new and exciting vehicle for ministry. The Macedonia Church Bible Institute has been founded to prepare those in the Body of Christ to grow deeper in discipleship, and grow stronger in ministry of the Christian faith. The institute is offering a variety of certification programs and classes to Macedonia Church members and non-members in the surrounding communities. Come and explore how God's providence and provision extend through biblical history. Discover how the writers of the Bible drew from the well of God's Wisdom for us to apply Biblical principles to our lives.

Ministers-In-Training (MIT) Certificate

Ministers-In-Training I: This class is designed to help men and women understand their call to ministry, and learn the basics of the preaching. Licensing is not automatically guaranteed upon completion of the course. All non-members of Macedonia Church must have the permission of their pastor in order to participate in this course.
Ministers-In-Training II: This class is designed to develop Macedonia Church Associate Ministers in the preaching ministry, teaching and pastoring. Non- members of Macedonia Church are welcome to participate with the permission from their pastor. Prerequisite: M.I.T. I
Ministers-In-Training III: This class will prepare Macedonia Church Associate Ministers to be ordained, who have met the qualifications. This course is by Pastor Barr's invitation only. Prerequisite: M.I.T. II
Following the completion of classes, and by recommendation, a member will be certified to teach or minister at Macedonia Church. Each of these courses begins in September and ends in May.

Study the Bible Certificate

This curriculum is composed of four (4) classes grouped into two (2) sections:
The Pentateuch: This survey course provides a comprehensive study of the first five books of the Old Testament. Required Textbook-Nelson's Old Testament Survey
The Gospels & The Book of Acts: This survey course provides a comprehensive study of the four Gospels and the Book of Acts. Required Textbook- Nelson's New Testament Survey
The Prophets and Psalms: This survey course provides a comprehensive study of the books of the prophets and Psalms. In this course you will learn how to properly interpret prophecy and scripture. You will also see the fullness of the imagery and poetry of God's word as it was intended. Prerequisite: The Pentateuch. Required Textbook- Nelson's Old Testament Survey
The Epistles: This survey course provides an introduction to the theology, structure, and content of all of the letters to the early churches. Prerequisite: The Gospels & The Book of Acts. Required Textbook-Nelson's New Testament Survey

Victorious Living Series

How to Study the Bible: This class is designed to teach the fundamental tools and techniques of studying God's word. Mature your relationship with God as you develop the necessary Bible study habits.

How to Start a Ministry: This class is designed to teach leaders how to start, maintain and grow a ministry within our fellowship and the broader communities that will endure the test of time.

Financial Freedom 101: This class provides the holistic principles of stewardship. This includes principles of tithing and budgeting towards a foundation of investments. A variety of classes are available to address different levels of need.
