Please
join us for a Town Hall meeting at Ebenezer Baptist Church, on
Monday,
February 15, 2010 @ 5:30pm - 8pm.
It is our sincere hope that you will plan to attend and participate
in this, the first of four Town Hall meetings that we, the collective
leadership of the Hill District, hope to hold throughout the year.
We believe it is time for us all to begin talking and working
together and this meeting is the first step toward that goal.
As you
are aware, there is a tremendous amount of developmental, educational,
and social activity taking place in the Hill District and we want
to bring all the organizations, individuals, and elected officials
together in one setting so that we can listen, learn and continue
our attempts to work together. This Town Hall meeting will provide
residents with an opportunity to hear an update about the ongoing
developments in the Hill District, engage in a conversation regarding
the future direction of the Hill District, and learn how you and
your family can become more involved with the activities in Hill
District. We will talk about Historic Hill Preservation, the New
Granada, the plans for the grocery store and pharmacy, and offer
individuals a chance to personally connect with city and county
legislators.
Again,
we look forward to seeing you at the Ebenezer Baptist Church,
(put the church’s address here), on Monday, February 15
from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
We are
excited about the prospect of these forums for information sharing
and, more importantly, to gain your feedback and input. If
you have questions, or need more information, please call, The
People’s Office served by State Representative
Jake Wheatley, Jr., at 412-471-7760, or e-mail Renee
Aldrich at raldrich@pahouse.net.
