EBENEZER
BAPTIST CHURCH MEMORIAL
BRICK
CAMPAIGN
On
March 13, 2004, the infamous Ebenezer Baptist Church at the corner
of Wylie and Devilliers caught fire and was burned beyond repair.
When it was thought that the fire
was under control, the bell tower fell causing the death of two
firemen and the injury of many others. Since
that tragic day, God has blessed the Ebenezer family
with many friends and supporters who have made donations and worked
tirelessly to help them rise from the ashes. One is encouraged as
they ride past the new building and see how awesome God is. Because
of His goodness the congregation will be returning home soon.

Many
fundraising projects are underway. One
of the unique projects is the Memorial Brick Campaign sponsored
by the Women's Ministry, under
the leadership of Mrs. Barbara Crosby.
These
bricks will interface the parking lot at Devilliers and Wylie.
This is an opportunity to honor
a living or deceased loved one, community member, persons of the
church, an organization, or club. The size
of the brick is 8x8x2 1/4, includes up to six lines of text, and
may include a maximum of 15 letters per line including spaces and
punctuation. The Memorial
Brick donation is $100. Space
is limited and orders will only be accepted with payment in full.
Deadline to place orders is
July 15, 2006.
