Keepers of the Flame Awards Celebration is Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the auditorium of the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater - East Liberty @ 7:00 p.m.

A moving and memorable evening of dance, storytelling, poetry, song, & drumming in honor of the art legacy of the present and past Elder artists of Pittsburgh.

Featuring performances by students from Imani’s community dance classes with Master Drummers: Benjamin Fullard & Lonnie Bey
Vocalist: Sandra Dowe.
Musical Interludes with Jazz Pianists, J. Spencer Bey & Howie Alexander, and Trumpeter, Sean Jones
